Artist's Bio

Bringing the Mythic to Life

I am a full time professional mixed media artist working in an endless array of materials: oil paint, acrylic and gouache, polymer clay, fur, fabric, glue, beads, wire, leather, bits from nature and found objects. They spill out of my studio and creep, in various stages of metamorphosis, across my house. Iridescent wings hang from stair rails, and goblin creatures lurk on bookshelves next to chestnut shells and dried flowers. I find inspiration in nature.

. . .

My primary subject matter is fantasy, and my image of the fantastical world begins at its roots, as branches of nature; fae creatures as the wild, ethereal and slightly dangerous beings represented in classic folklore. My work seeks to connect people to that image of fantasy.

Wearable Faeryphernalia

I did not set out to be a costumer, initially.  I have made costumes for myself for many years, and eventually began offering some of my fantasy pieces for sale.  I strive to offer only high quality "professional grade" costuming. These pieces are easy to wear and durable enough to withstand the rigors of full time faeries.

My Wearable Faeryphernalia line currently contains wings, troll tails, and mushroom hats, and I am expanding into smaller accessories.

Fine Art

My fine art work encompasses mixed media art dolls, as well as paintings in a variety of media. I produce new work sporadically, as inspiration strikes and time allows.
