Brian Froud inspired faery wings- Wearable Faery Wings

Full sized wearable faery wings with poseable aluminum frames. This is a set of wings taken directly from one of Brian Froud’s famous illustrations in the Heart of Faerie Oracle ( “The Child” card), and also seen in the special edition of his book “Faeries”. Made with his permission, I’ve made wearable wings which are as close to the original painting as possible. This set has silver veins and hand painted designs in shades of purple and grey

My wings are made of milled aluminum – no tape, cardboard, or wire. They are durable and can be gently bent to the pose of your choice, giving them a much more organic appearance than other wings that have to remain flat. Wings are worn with a u-bend that slides into a bodice. The polycarbonate u-bend is nearly unbreakable but gives the wings a lovely bouncing motion as they are worn. It also has 4 holes designed for the attachment of elastic arm straps (not included) should you choose to wear them without a tight bodice. Wings attach to the u-bend with hex bolts, and I include the necessary allen wrench to assemble and disassemble them, making them easier to transport and store.

I use multiple layers of heavy vinyl to create the wings, and they hold up well to use, even being banged against things.
